YUPO: Social Media Policy

Introduction

For the management of our official social media accounts (X [formerly Twitter], blogs, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.) and the use of social media by our employees, YUPO (hereinafter referred to as the "Company") endeavors to communicate information appropriately in accordance with this Social Media Policy (hereinafter referred to as this "Policy").

We request that all users of the Company's official accounts (hereinafter referred to as "Customers and Users") understand and comply with this Policy.

1. YUPO's Principles of Conduct

  1. 1.The Company will endeavor to comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal rules and take appropriate action as required.
  2. 2.The Company will recognize the characteristics of the Internet and strive to communicate information responsibly.
  3. 3.The Company will pay close attention to the copyrights, reputation rights, and other related rights and interests of third parties.
  4. 4.The Company will exercise due care not to disclose confidential information or any undisclosed information belonging to our customers and business partners.
  5. 5.The Company will manage personal information appropriately in accordance with the Company's Privacy Policy.
  6. 6.The Company will give due consideration to privacy and human rights.

2. Provision of Information and Requests

  1. 1.The information posted on the Company's official accounts may not always represent the Company's official statements or final views.
  2. 2.The Company does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of the information provided.
  3. 3.The Company may not be able to respond to every post made by Customers and Users.
  4. 4.The Company may not be able to participate in or respond to any disputes between Customers and Users or with a third party.
  5. 5.The Company shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of, or inability to use, the Company's official accounts.
  6. 6.The Company may not be able to reply to every post depending on the circumstances.
  7. 7.The Company may delete or correct, without notice, any information or content it deems inappropriate or restrict posting or access to the accounts.
  8. 8.The operation of the official accounts may be terminated, discontinued, or changed without notice.

3. Terms of Use

Customers and Users are requested to refrain from engaging in the following acts when using the official accounts:

  • Impersonating the Company or any third party
  • Engaging in political activities, election activities, religious activities, or other similar activities
  • Engaging in criminal acts or any acts that promote or encourage criminal behavior
  • Defaming others or damaging the reputation or credibility of others
  • Posting content containing obscene, violent, discriminatory, or otherwise offensive expressions
  • Disclosing personal information without the consent of the individual concerned
  • Engaging in spam, advertising, or solicitation for commercial purposes
  • Infringing copyrights, trademark rights, portrait rights, or other rights
  • Violating the terms of use or rules of any social media platform
  • Any other conduct that the Company deems inappropriate

4. Copyrights and Personal Information

  1. 1.The copyright in any content posted belongs to the Customers and Users who submit such content.
  2. 2.Customers and Users shall be deemed to have granted the Company a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use (including reproduction, modification, translation, extraction, and disclosure) the content they post. In addition, Customers and Users may be requested to cooperate with the Company by refraining from exercising their moral rights.
  3. 3.Personal information obtained by the Company will be managed appropriately in accordance with the Company's Privacy Policy.

6. Amendments to the Social Media Policy

This Policy may be amended as needed without prior notice. The revised Policy will take effect upon being posted on this page.

7. Governing Law and Court of Jurisdiction

This Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan. If any dispute arises between the Company and Customers and Users in connection with the use of the official accounts, the Tokyo District Court shall have exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance.
