HY-TEARYUPO®
A grade with increased tearing strength made from the fusion of YUPO® and unwoven fabric, HY-TEARYUPO® features one side with the texture of Japanese washi paper.
Characteristics

  • Printing is possible on both the YUPO® and unwoven fabric sides.
Basic properties

Recommended inks

Special formulated ink for YUPO® and solvent-based screen inks
Printing

  • The ink density on the unwoven fabric surface is lower than on the YUPO® surface.
  • Sheets are prone to stick together, so feed a relatively small number of sheets when printing.

When printing, use proper care during pre-press set-up and proceed with printing while taking proper consideration of the requirements for each type of printing.
A better and more attractive finished product can be obtained by taking care to protect the printing surface.
Application examples

  • Posters with a Japanese-paper texture
  • Envelopes, preservation pouches and shopping bags
  • Packaging for wine or dried-food products
