Policy for the Protection of Personal Information

We acknowledge that the appropriate handling of personal information is an important part of our corporate responsibility, and we carry out that responsibility by adhering to the following guiding principles in our treatment of personal information.

(1)	Along with observing all laws and other regulations relating to the protection of personal information in Japan, we comply with generally accepted practices relating to the handling of personal information. Moreover, from time to time, we endeavor to improve our handling practices in an appropriate manner.
(2)	Japanese regulations relating to the handling of personal information are made clear and known to all employees. Furthermore, we request that our clients and partners also make efforts towards the appropriate treatment of personal information.
(3)	When personal information is acquired, the purpose for which it will be used is specified, and the personal information is handled in accordance with that purpose of use.
(4)	All necessary measures are taken to ensure appropriate management, in order to prevent the disclosure, loss, alteration or other abuse of personal information.
(5)	Requests from principal parties for the disclosure, correction, cessation of use, etc. of personal information in our possession will be accepted by a designated liaison and dealt with appropriately.

Our Guidelines for the Safeguarding of Personal Information

We will handle personal information in accordance with the following items:

1.	Purpose of Use In carrying out the business operations prescribed in our company statutes (hereafter "business"), we procure personal information necessary to the conduct of business activities. Such personal information is used for the following objectives: Procurement of raw materials, development of products and services, manufacturing, sales, customer service, notifications from our company and responses to customer inquiries about any of the above, credit decisions relating to sales of products and services and credit management, and the performance of other related business affairs that accompany business activities.
2.	Disclosure/Provision to Third Parties Except in cases where required by law, we will not disclose or provide personal information to third parties without having acquired the prior consent of the principal party.
3.	Sharing of Personal information In some cases, we may share customers' personal information with our parent companies and/or affiliated group companies.
