Embossing and hot stamping
Embossing

(1)  YUPO® can be embossed. However, it is not suited to sharp embossing, as with credit cards, relief maps or masks.
(2) Examples of conditions when using a paper roll embosser

Roll temperature 60-90°C
Roll pressure 100-200kg/cm

Hot stamping

(1)  When hot stamping on YUPO®, recesses will occur due to thermal contraction. Recesses are more obvious the thinner YUPO® is.
(2) To minimize the recesses due to thermal contraction of YUPO®, we recommend a low-temperature type of foil. Set the plate temperature from 100 to 105°C.
(3) Consult with the foil manufacturer to select a foil that is compatible with YUPO® and the ink.
(4) In the case of small, repeated patterns, the patterns may be thrown out of alignment by occurrences of the recesses, so please test beforehand.
