| The surface of YUPO® is highly smooth
and sheets may stick easily to each other. In addition,
YUPO® is non-absorbent. It can therefore
take time for the ink to set and problems with set-off
can occur easily. In order to prevent set-off, please
take note of the following points. |

| |
The objective of spray powder is to prevent
sheets from sticking together and to allow them to take
in oxygen. Therefore, rougher powders are more effective.
In order not to damage the appearance of your printed
materials, the use of the following sizes and quantities
is recommended:
| Particle Diameter |
15-30µm |
| Amount Sprayed |
20-50% more for coated paper |
- (i.e.: NIKKALYCO® Mini-Pack SL or AS160, Nikka
Ltd., Tokyo JAPAN)
In addition, when making multiple printings on the
same paper, or doing laminating, please remove excess
spray powder.
|

| |
Ensure that you insert a pile board. The
height of the pile board will depend on the pattern,
but a height of less than 10 cm is appropriate. |

| |
Please adjust your printer so that the
printed sheet of YUPO® gently falls on
to the pile. In order to prevent off-set problems, set
the sheet pressure air to zero, or as low as possible. |

| |
Set the side jogger so that it lightly
touches the sheets of YUPO® and ensure
that it does not hit it firmly. |

| |
Static electricity can make sheets of
YUPO® stack imperfectly or cause off-set.
The best prevention method is to maintain high humidity
of at least 50%. Ensure that the static remover is set
to on. Use of an air ionizer is also effective. |

| |
Until the ink has completely set, please
make absolutely certain that you do not apply pressure
or in any way disturb the YUPO®. If you
must move printed sheets of YUPO® to
make space, take care not to disturb the paper or cause
it to fall over. |
