The 2008 YUPO® Asia Pacific Meeting held! (March 5 - 7, 2008)

From March 5th to 7th, 2008, Yupo Corporation (Tokyo, JAPAN) convened the 7th YUPO® Asia-Pacific Meeting in Kyoto, Japan. This bi-annual meeting is organized by Yupo Corporation to bring together the "Yupo® Family" - paper merchants, printing companies and paper converters, chiefly from the Asia-Pacific region - and offers an opportunity to disseminate new information about YUPO® products and strengthen industry ties. A numerous attendants from Yupo Corporation, due to meeting being held in Kyoto, including board members Messrs. S. Nomura (President), Mr. S. Hattori (Managing Director), Mr. K. Takashima (Director) and Mr. H. Oshima (Associate Director & General Manager of Marketing & Sales Division), as well as other members of the Yupo Corporation Group worldwide, including Yupo Corporation America and Yupo Europe GmbH, were present at this meeting. Following President's address on March 6th and an update on Yupo Corporation's recent performance, Mr. Hattori and the members of Research Development Division offered a rundown of the latest product developments, and members from Kashima Factory showcased the quality management at Kashima Factory. Presentations were also given by the Australian and Korean representatives on the subject of their respective markets. Despite the length of the meeting, which lasted all day, attendees enthusiastically took notes on the presentations and engaged in a lively exchange of ideas and opinions. The meeting was book ended by a number of social activities and other events that gave the attendees a chance to reconfirm their ties as part of the YUPO® family, and the meeting adjourned amidst firm pledges to meet again.
