The 2006 YUPO® Asia Pacific Meeting held! |

From March 8th to 11th, 2006, Yupo Corporation (Tokyo,
JAPAN: Osamu Sasaki, President) convened the 6th YUPO®
Asia-Pacific Meeting in Port Douglas, Queensland, Australia.
The bi-annual meeting is organized by Yupo Corporation to
bring together the "Yupo Family" - paper merchants,
printing companies and paper converters, chiefly from the
Asia-Pacific region - and offers an opportunity to disseminate
new information about YUPO® products and
strengthen industry ties.
A total of 49 attendees from 10 countries, including Australia
and China, participated in the latest meeting. Representatives
from Yupo Corporation included President Sasaki, Mr. Yamada,
Managing Director and General Manager of Development Division,
Mr. Nomura, Managing Director of Marketing & Sales Division,
Mr. Oshima, General Manager of Marketing & Sales Division,
as well as other members of the Marketing & Sales, as
well as the Development Division, and M. Fiorrillo, VP of
Sales from Yupo America.
Following President's address on March 9th and an update
on Yupo Corporation's recent performance, Mr. Yamada and
the members of Development Division offered a rundown of
the latest product developments, and showcased the research
and development facility. Presentations were also given
by the Chinese and Australian representatives on the subject
of their respective markets. Despite the length of the meeting,
which lasted from nine in the morning on into the evening,
attendees enthusiastically took notes on the presentations,
and engaged in a lively exchange of ideas and opinions.
The meeting was bookended by a number of social activities
and other events that gave the attendees a chance to reconfirm
their ties as part of the YUPO® family, and
the meeting adjourned amidst firm pledges to meet again.
